Guardian of Dimensions - Chapter 6: Incomprehensions

For an instant, nothing seemed to happen. Uranus 
tensed, anticipating the pain she knew would have had to 
come, but what came wasn't anything like she had expected. 
She shut her eyes tightly and tensed more, biting her lip 
to prevent herself from screaming. The pain was just too 
much to bear. Uranus thought for an instant she was going 
to pass out, but she felt her sister taking a part of her 
pain, sharing it, relieving her. Uranus relaxed. ::I did 
not...remember...it was...so painful:: she gasped mentally.
::Nor did I::, came the weak reply.
And as all the senshi looked on in awe, a pair of 
milk-white wings completed its growth on Uranus' shoulders.
Uranus and Sunaru were then submerged in light, their 
fuku melting away, leaving their bodies shining brightly in 
white light. Star-shaped brooches, with clear star-shaped 
crystals inside them, appeared on their chest, and from them 
emerged shiny blue ribbons that toed around their body forming 
strange, all white senshi uniforms. More ribbons tied around 
their feet forming white mini-boots [think about Uranus' ones, 
in white], and other ribbons formed their gloves and choker. 
Their brooches closed, and Uranus and Sunaru, now Sailor Wind 
and Sailor Sky, posed.
The only thing that differenced them, except for the 
hair lenght and the color of the symbol that shone brightly on 
their forehead, was the color of their broaches: Wind's was blue, 
with the symbol of Uranus engraved in white on it, while Sky's 
was white with a blue Uranus symbol.
In a flash of light, the guardians' uniforms changed too: 
they became like the ones of Wind and Sky, only the brooch was 
white and the bows colored, the front one of the same color the 
symbols on their forehead were, while the back one was the color 
their footwear previously was.
The monsters attacked them, but they dodged in time 
and attacked in response.
"Feathers tornado!" Sky called out, her wings unfurling 
and several crystal, sharp-pointed and razor-edged feathers 
coming on.
"Fury of the storm!" Wind shouted, as the strong winds 
she created blew towards the monsters and tore several of 
them apart.
"Pelting Raindrops!" Miranda yelled, pouring all of 
her power into the attack.
"Boreas Kiss!" Titania screamed, her attack tearing 
up several monsters.
"Cloud Arrow!" Oberon's attack pierced through the heart 
one single monster, killing it.
"Air Hurricane!" Ariel yelled, killing several monsters 
with the fury of the hurricane she had created.
"Crystal Blizzard!" Umbriel shouted, also killing some 
monsters.
The remaining monsters, however, split in two, recreating 
their original number, and attacked once more, forcing the senshi 
to dodge again.
"Dammit", Wind cursed. "It wasn't enough!"
Sky smirked, a dangerous smirk. "Let's try something more...
effective then, shall we?" She then turned to the other senshi. "We 
need time to charge for an attack. Do you think you could cover us 
for some time?"
"We could try" Sailormoon said hesitantly "but I don't know 
for how long we'll be able to hold them off..."
"Three minutes should be enough", Sky stated.
"Then we can do it" Jupiter assured.
"Wait a minute, we shouldn't..." Pluto started to say.
Sky scowled. "Pluto. We can discuss this later."
"Well, actually not..."
"Pluto, please" Wind pleaded.
Pluto looked at her surprised, taken aback by her tone. "All 
right...we will talk later."
The monsters were silent, waiting for the next move of the 
senshi.
::Are you sure about this?:: Wind sent mentally. ::After this, 
we'll be too weak to fight anymore. If we fail....::
::I know:: Sky replied :: but it's the only way to defeat them. 
Have you noticed how they keep splitting every time we kill some of 
them? We must take them out all together, or else we'll never win.::
::"Now":: she continued, enlarging the communication radium 
so that she could be heard by everyone ::"I will count at three, and 
then we'll start the action. Everyone ready?":: All the senshi nodded. 
::"One.....two.....three!"::
The senshi started atttacking continuously, without stopping 
a second, confusing the monsters. Meanwhile, the guardians joined hands, 
forming a circle around Sky and Wind.
"In the name of the wind..." Wind started, a bright white aura 
appearing around her.
"And in the name of the sky..." Sky continued, the white aura 
surrounding her as well.
"We call forth all the power of the heavens, to help us defeat 
our enemies!" they concluded together.
"Miranda!" Miranda screamed, a dark aqua aura bursting into life 
around her.
"Titania!" Titania called out, her silver-grey aura appearing 
around her.
"Oberon" Oberon whispered, a purple aura encircling her.
"Ariel!" Ariel shouted, surrounded by a blue-green aura.
"Umbriel!" Umbriel finished, her dark violet aura shining brightly.
::"Senshi, get out of the way!":: Sky urged. All the senshi 
immediately stopped attacking the monsters and cleared the way.
"HEAVENS BEAM!!!" Wind and Sky screamed, the energy of all the 
auras gathering in their hands and then coming out towards the monsters 
at annihilating speed. The creatures couldn't dodge in time, and the
attack hit them and consumed them, leaving nothing behind.
The guardians, Wind and Sky promptly fell to their knees, 
exausted, returning to their previous form, their second transformation 
vanishing.
"Haruka!" Neptune screamed, running to Uranus' side. "Haruka, 
are you alright?"
"Apart from the fact that you've just revealed my secret identity, 
love" Uranus answered dryly, causing Neptune to turn beet red "I'm fine, 
just a tad tired, thanks."
Sunaru chuckled. "I already knew it, thank you Neptune. And 
Haruka-chan, you really should learn not to tease your lover too much" 
she gently teased.
Neptune's eyes widened. She had already heard someone else 
calling Haruka that way... "No... you can't be..."
Sunaru nodded, getting up. Her fuku seemed to melt away, leaving 
her in her normal clothes.
"Sorano-san!" Neptune shouted. "I _knew_ there was something 
strange in you! I felt it!"
"Either that, or the mirror was telling you things again" Uranus 
chuckled.
::You never listen, do you?:: Himeko scolded.
::Of course I do:: Uranus said sweetly. ::I just don't pay 
attention, that's all.::
::You're impossible sometimes, you know?::
"Hime-san?!?" Moon said incredulously. "You--you're Sunaru?" 
She took a step towards Hime, but Pluto stopped her. "No, Princess. 
Don't go near her. She's dangerous."
Uranus got up, clenching her fists.
"Dangerous?" Venus asked. "What do you mean?"
"She had been banished by Queen Serenity, back in the Silver 
Millennium. She shouldn't be here now. I don't know how she escaped 
from the dimension she was sealed in, but she's certainly here to seek 
revenge, and the same goes for those other five over there. We should 
kill them now that we have the chance--" Pluto was cut short by Uranus, 
who slapped her across the face with all of her might.
