Yeah, well, you write like a girl!

And so I do, apparently, according to the Gender Genie. Hrmph.

So do I, apparently..

And so do I. I wonder if there's something to be said in the fact that I was trying to write like a demon?

"When you get home tonight, I will be waiting. You will never know what dark secrets inspired my choice, or by what eldritch sorcery I was brought into being. None of which shall matter once I have taken my fill of your life and departed, leaving only the faint scent of jasmine to indicate I was ever there.

Enjoy tonight, dearest, for in those few minutes you will know the purest love, and you'll likely have a headache for weeks to follow so make the most of it."

(Oh, but it seems to be less than 50% accurate in the real world anyway)

So do a few male friends of mine I had writing samples from. You aren't alone. ;)

Hahaha

I copy&pasted the article about it by Philip Ball, and the computer said he was female.

Enough said. It doesn't work.

I fed it a bit of one of my answers for a maths assignment (not one with a lot of symbols etc.), and it guessed male. However, after I removed all instances of "the", "a", and "is", it guessed female - it seems to mostly look at these small connecting words, while completely ignoring the rest.

It did not guess correctly when I fed it this comment before posting it.

copy&pasted a bit of a fanfic and it got it right.

It says 80% chances of success, that's not bad IMHO (if it's accurate)

Apparently, I'm female most of the time too. How interesting.

The Gender Genie thinks the author of this passage is: Female!

Now I just need a set of b00bers and I'm ready to go!
