Fool's Fate

'You are the Catalyst still!' she shrieked after me. There was nothing but desperation and amazement in her voice now. 'If you will not kill me, then come back and use your Skill to heal me. I will be subject to you in all ways! You could use me as you wished, and I could teach you all I have learned from the Skill-scrolls! You have the strength to wield that magic! Heal me, and I will show you the path to power. You will be the rightful King of the Six Duchies, of the Out Islands, of all the Cursed Shores! All. I will give you all your dreams, if only you come back!'
My dream was dead in my arms. I continued to walk.
Finished Fool's Fate. (No, that quote's not from the ending, don't worry. ;)) Wonderful book, and a wonderful ending to settings and characters I loved. Now I just have to re-read all three series (three words, three links there) in order... I kinda read them in an odd order, first I got Assassin's Apprentice in Italian, then found Fool's Errand and Golden Fool in English, then my father bought me the whole Farseer Trilogy in English when he went to the USA on a work trip, then I found Mad Ship and Ship of Destiny in a bookstore in Rome, and now I got Fool's Fate and Ship of Magic off of amazon.co.uk. And I still have to read Ship of Magic, too, heh... I couldn't resist, I just had to see how everything ended. Now I can pause for a bit, and then I'll re-read all the books in order, and savor the story in full. :)
